Golden Globes 2013 Complete Best Dressed List
The Golden Globes were last night and I pondered over the red carpet dresses forever before deciding on the best and of course Worst Dressed List. Instead of making your wade through tons of images of nice dresses I decided to slam you with my top three looks on the Golden Globes red carpet followed by the honorable mentions (which there were many).
My Number Three best dressed celeb was the sun kissed Jessica Alba. Being not only one of the best dressed but also the best dressed in a gown in a color other than black. Thanks Jessica for looking stunning from the ombre perfectly curled hair and shimmering Harry Winston diamond necklace to the full train of the Oscar de la Renta gown in peach silk.
Side note: When I first saw Alba’s dress, the bottom was all bunched up and looked really odd but thanks to my stylish friends back home they urged me to reconsider. Thanks Ashley and Sheri!
Lets get a close up of that necklace!
Number Two was not as colorful and perhaps a little unfair because of her model figure but I was insanely in love with this black Saint Laurent Paris dress on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I was infatuated with the high slit, the leather belt, the bow neckerchief, and YES even the side boob! I was also applauding her decision to rock a high fashion option as opposed to the grad dress theme that tends to plague these red carpet events.
The hair may have been a bit dull, but I’m a fool for blondes so it’s forgiveable.
Number One was the stunning Kate Hudson, who was as incredibly beautiful as champagne diamonds set in polished gold. Not unlike the neck of the now infamous Alexander McQueen gown she wore on the red carpet of the Golden Globes last night. How fricken hot does she look?!
No one wore black better than Kate last night and that’s saying something considering Adele, Nicole Kidman, Helena Bonham-Carter, and so many others were adorned in the dark shade.
And now for the close up! That is some excellent double sided tape at work here. Well dome Kate!
Those were my top three and everything below was the other dresses I thought were worth mentioning. Starting with the lighter colored dresses and working my way to the darker shades. That way we’ll make a red carpet rainbow that I’ll just get a kick out of. I inserted my commentary in parenthesis so you can see why those dresses didn’t make it to the top three. Enjoy!
Anne Hathaway in Chanel (meh… nice and simple but a little too much so, Great silhouette though.)
Michelle Dockery in Alexandre Vaulthier Couture (Two questions: Are those burgundy shoes? And are you only wearing one earring?)
Julianne Hough in Monique Lhuillier (Is that a wedding gown? I dig the bitchy princess look though.)
Isla Fisher in Reem Acra (I know we’re all excited to be here but please tone down the smile you’re blinding me)
Better…
Halle Berry in Versace (It looks like her hair stylist is an electric socket)
Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior (Did someone steal your necklace?)
Taylor Swift in Donna Karan Atelier (odd neckline)
Nicole Richie in Naeem Khan (I actually love this dress and if I had a fourth place she would have gotten it.)

Julianne Moore in Tom Ford (Gorgeous! But I wanted more of a cinched waist for Moore instead of a light colored insert. Also the string at the back looks cheap.)
Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen (Kidman looks great and the dress looks great but I feel like she should have a mohawk to pull this dress off properly.)
Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka (Mirren is a saint and I love her but it looks like there is some indigenous art on that modern day dress.)
Who was your favorite star?
Which dress was your favorite?
