Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is basically the craziest place on Earth (in the best way possible) and the Diesel Black Gold show was no exception. Before the show started I got to walk around the stage and see all the super hot celebs and fashion industry celebs including Anna Dello Russo, Carine Roitfeld, Renzo Rosso (President of Diesel), Nicola Formichetti, Susie Bubble, Bryanboy, Franca Sozzani and New York socialites Caitlin Moe and Mia Moretti. The intense flashes from all the cameras was an exciting experience on it’s own but just then… The show started.

Diesel Black Gold Fall 2013 stage setAs soon as the lights started to flicker and rise, the models took to the catwalk and chaos ensued. Everyone was exhilarated over the slim cut denim, anatomically sewn to emphasize the long slender legs of the models. Nearly every piece was sewn with precision to exude sexiness and play with the concept of denim and the way we think of it.womens fall 2013 Diesel Black Gold

New creative director Andreas Melbostad has a vision of speeding down an open road with dust in the mirror and the odd classic gas station spotted along the highway as your only companion. You could see this vision through the quilted leather detailing and motorcycle jackets throughout the line. There is always something super sexy about a model with tight jeans or leather pants and a serious look on her face. I had an opportunity to speak with Nicola Formichetti directly after the show who said “[he] loved the last look, the studded dress… it was cool.” But he LOVED the music! He was singing it and we were all trying to figure out who it was… Anyways it was great! Then as I was leaving I got to meet and chat with Susie Bubble felt that the all over white dresses or the studded dresses were really strong and felt that the looks were totally signature Andreas Melbostad. But when I asked her if she’d wear any of the pieces from the runway she blushed and said “I’d probably mix it up… I’m not really that hot you know?” To which I responded “Whatever! I wrote our the card that was presented to us at the show on each seat for a further read and an in-depth look into the collection. That’s if the photos Matthew St. James took weren’t enough to convince you of the lines ultimate sexiness.

    Andreas Melbostad is a Norwegian fashion designer isn’t he? I’ve always felt that he brings that atheistic to his designs.

      The collection will hit stores in time for September 2013. I’m sure your girl friend will love it! I would take a close look at the outwear this season, it was second to none!
